Why I started working in Aesthetic Medicine
As a pharmacist prescriber I spent 15 years working in the NHS. I have always had a special interest in beauty and aesthetics. I love helping people to restore confidence and feel better. For many years I worked in oncology, managing the quality of medications for patients. I spent a lot of time with patients and watched how treatments would impact their appearance and in turn their confidence. I wanted to be able to offer safe treatments that could help restore this for them.
Because of the sensitive nature of the condition’s patients had, it was critical to ensure a high level of safety.
Working in wound care with a well-known company to treat diabetic foot ulcers, I received training on the most sophisticated PRP producing machines. The treatment here was used to help the wounded skin heal and repair, avoiding the progression of the condition. In some cases, this meant it avoiding amputation, allowing patients to lead normal lives and continue with daily activities independetly. This uses the most concentrated and advanced cellular therapies that allowed the PRP to be concentrated in to a gel format.
This work fuelled my passion for using the very best equipment. Using the best PRP system’s I am able to deliver the safe and most effective concentration level of PRP for the treatments I want to offer.
